STORY OF A WEDDING CROWN...

The play Laulu Tulipunaisesta Kukasta by Teatteri Ulpu requested a wedding crown as it was mentioned in the text. To have a wedding crown was the tradition in Finnish weddings at the time when the text originally was published in 1905. For the research I visited Satakunnan Museo in Pori where is this crown:

This is how mine looked and I was really satisfied of it, in spite of the time it took to make including about 75 roses..

But when I saw what happens to the crown after the wedding scene...

The show was played 18 times plus the rehearsals and the crown survived all that! Well, a bit of reshaping afterwords but honestly the crown was still looking amazing on the last show and could stand those close-by photos you can see above!
